petroleum and natural gas industries.

This standard is applicable to distributors of metallic bar, plate, and tubular products where API product standards
require such services or are otherwise specified as a requirement for compliance. For organizations that manufacture
and distribute metallic material, this standard only addresses the distribution portion of their processes.
